Within a program of the Basque Government for the historical memory, this sculpture pays tribute to the freedoms of the Basque people. In the Basque country the tree has a sacred meaning, under the older trees, elders met together to decide on all kinds of issues, it is a very ancient version of parliament. This sculpture named in Basque, THE PARENT ́S HOUSE, refers to this sense of respect for the word and freedoms.
