Stream was commissioned by real estate groups Ryan Companies, Sunbelt Holdings and the Tempe Municipal Art in Private Development fund. Stream accompanies the development of Marina Heights which is the largest office and multi-use real estate development project in the history of Arizona. Tempe’s Art in Private Development aims to create meaningful landmarks, making private and public spaces more appealing to residents and helping to attract new visitors.

Stream is a sculpture inspired by the Salado River, just behind the piece. It represents the movements of the water flow.
