Sculpture THE SEA GATE (Puerta del Mar) made to connect the Port of Almería with the Nicolás Salmerón Park. Located at the beginning of the parkway on Reina Regente avenue, it evokes the intimate union between the sea and the city. It was inaugurated in August 2008.

The sculpture, which has a formal and chromatic inspiration in the coral banks of the Almeria seabed, is a manipulation of a coral structure. This fact, in addition to linking it with Almería, puts the human being in confrontation with nature, revealing how it is transformed for our service.

Materials: The work is made of quality S275JR carbon steel, with a sheet thickness of 25 millimeters and an estimated weight of four tons. It is plasma cut and handcrafted on all its edges, finished in natural oxide patina.
